CHICAGO - Prior to today's game vs. Cleveland, the Chicago White Sox recalled right-handed pitcher Michael Ynoa from Class AA Birmingham and placed outfielder Adam Eaton on the Paternity List.
Ynoa, 24, made one appearance with the Barons this season, tossing 1.0 scoreless IP with one strikeout on April 7 at Jacksonville.
The 6-foot-7, 210-pound Ynoa went 0-2 with a 2.61 ERA (11 ER/38.0 IP), six saves and 40 strikeouts over 28 relief appearances with Class A Winston-Salem last season, his first in the White Sox organization. He was acquired from Oakland as part of a six-player trade on December 9, 2014.
Ynoa, who has no major-league experience, will wear uniform number 66.
Eaton, 27, has gone 9-20 (.450) with a double, triple, RBI and two runs scored over five games in 2016. He became the first White Sox player since Nellie Fox in 1955 to open the season with four consecutive multihit games.
