White Sox reportedly sign righty Pelfrey

The White Sox and right-handed pitcher Mike Pelfrey have agreed on a Minor League contract, MLB Network insider Jon Heyman reported on Wednesday. The club has not confirmed the deal.

Per Heyman, Pelfrey will begin his White Sox career pitching for Triple-A Charlotte.

Pelfrey, 33, was released by the Tigers on March 30. He went 4-10 with a 5.07 ERA in 119 innings for Detroit in 2016.
