Ramirez continues recovery from concussion
MINNEAPOLIS -- Outfielder Wilkin Ramirez, who is on the 7-day concussion disabled list, has progressed to baseball activities and said Friday he's feeling much better.
Ramirez, who suffered his concussion in a collision with fellow outfielder Josh Willingham on May 25, has been taking batting practice with the team. He's also been doing running drills and said he's making good progress.
"I'm feeling good," Ramirez said. "I took BP on the field already and I'll do some baserunning and some stretching."
Twins general manager Terry Ryan said Ramirez will head out on a rehab assignment once he feels good enough to play in a game. But Ryan said the Twins still haven't decided when or where Ramirez will go.
