Angels infielder Erick Aybar and Ed Rogers went 2-for-3, and Kansas City's Emilio Bonifacio drove in two runs as Licey defeated the Gigantes. The win moved Licey into sole possession of second place in the round-robin playoffs, two games behind Escogido, with the top two teams advancing to the Dominican Winter League finals. Royals prospect Francisley Bueno earned the win by allowing one unearned run in 5 1/3 innings. Box score

Alexis Gomez hit a go-ahead single in the top of the ninth to lift Aguilas over Escogido, which sits two games ahead in the round-robin playoffs. Alex Valdez led Aguilas with three hits while Yankees prospect Zoilo Almonte doubled twice. Nationals prospect Eury Perez led Escogido with three hits. Box score

Alex Gonzalez hit a game-winning single to lead Caracas to a victory over Caribes in round-robin playoff action. The two clubs now sit tied for second place in the round-robin at 4-3. Former Major Leaguer Bobby Abreu led four Caracas players with two hits, while Cleveland's Jesus Aguilar drove in three. San Diego's Alexi Amarista and Oscar Salazar had two hits to lead Caribes. White Sox prospect Carlos Sanchez had three hits and three RBIs while Joe Thurston knocked three hits and drove in four as La Guaira routed Zulia in round-robin playoff action. Mayaguez, led by three hits from Twins prospect Eddie Rosario, needed a three-run rally in the top of the ninth to force extra innings. Andy Gonzalez drew a bases-loaded walk in the bottom of the ninth to give Caguas a victory in round-robin playoff action. Gonzalez drove in two runs for Caguas, while Reds prospect Jorge Padilla had two hits. Ruben Gotay and Luis Matos each had two hits for Carolina. Box score
