Juan Francisco hit a go-ahead RBI single in the bottom of the seventh, and Escogido stretched its lead to three games in the round-robin playoffs. Freddy Guzman led the Escogido offense with two hits, and Cleveland's Carlos Santana also recorded a knock. Kansas City's Emilio Bonifacio led Licey with three hits. Box score

Garabez Rosa hit a walk-off single to score Francisco Peguero and lead the Gigantes to a win and move them into a third-place tie in the round-robin playoffs. Peguero led the Gigantes with a 4-for-5 night, and Jairo Perez drove in three. Juan Perez went 2-for-5 with three RBIs for Aguilas. Box score

Magallanes 6, La Guaira 4
Magallanes used a three-run sixth inning to defeat La Guaira and extend its lead in the round-robin playoffs to 1 1/2 games. Oakland's Alberto Callaspo and Yankees prospect Adonis Garcia each drove in three, and Seattle's Endy Chavez added three hits. Box score

Caracas 8, Zulia 4
Yangervis Solarte and Aharon Eggleston each had three hits to help Caracas move within one game of second place in the round-robin playoffs. Alex Gonzalez had two hits, and Yoanner Negrin held Zulia to two runs (one earned) in five innings. Philadelphia's Freddy Galvis led Zulia with three hits and two RBIs, and Minnesota's Oswaldo Arcia hit two doubles. Box score
