Obregon 8, Mazatlan 4

With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, a sacrifice fly to center field by Jonathan Diaz scored Hanser Alberto for the win. A big four-run fifth inning helped secure the win for Escogido on Friday. Pirates No. 2 prospect Gregory Polanco went 2-for-3 with two RBIs, Jorge Polanco was 2-for-3 with an RBI and Erik Gonzalez went 2-for-4 with a double. Mayaguez 3, Caguas 1 (Game 1)
In the first game of a doubleheader, a three-run fourth inning by Mayaguez proved to be the difference. With two outs in the frame, Jerry Sands and Luis Figueroa hit back-to-back doubles, then Eddie Rosario hit a triple. Jeremy Kehrt picked up his first win of the season. Box score

The second game of the doubleheader proved to be a tight one. The only run scored in the game came in the bottom of the fifth inning. After Sands walked to begin the bottom half of the frame and advanced to second on a sac-bunt by Rosario, Daniel Ortiz belted an RBI single to right field. Box score

Carolina 7, Santurce 0

Carolina dominated on both ends of the game Friday night. Nao Higashihama got his third win of the season, allowing just three hits in seven scoreless innings of work. He also struck out 10 batters.
