Wojciechowski taking two-week break from throwing

HOUSTON -- Right-hander Asher Wojciechowski, the Astros' No. 13 prospect, was sent back to club's Spring Training home in Kissimmee, Fla., to continue his rehab after suffering a flexor muscle strain.

The injury that sent Wojciechowski to the disabled list was a right lat strain he suffered on Feb. 1. While the injury has been slow to heal, Wojciechowski was making progress, throwing four innings in a Triple-A Oklahoma City rehab assignment and only giving up one run and four hits.

"It's nothing too severe," general manager Jeff Luhnow said. "We don't think there's any real issue, but he's not going to throw in a game for the next two weeks. He's going to go to Florida and do some rehab and throw down there."

Wojciechowski had an ERA of 3.56 with 104 strikeouts and 44 walks for Triple-A Oklahoma City in 2013.
