Hirschbeck draws crew chief role for World Series

Veteran will lead group of umpires that boasts postseason experience

Veteran umpire John Hirschbeck will serve as crew chief for the 2016 World Series, which begins tonight in Cleveland.
Hirschbeck's crew will include Chris Guccione, Sam Holbrook, Marvin Hudson, Tony Randazzo and regular-season crew chiefs Larry Vanover and Joe West. All seven umpires, a group that includes two rotating replay officials, have worked this postseason.
World Series Game 1: Tonight, 7:30 p.m. ET air time | 8 ET game time on FOX
This marks Hirschbeck's fifth World Series, while West has worked for Major League Baseball for a record 39 consecutive years.
