Worth noting

• Outfielder Domonic Brown, who has some soreness in his left knee, was not in Saturday's lineup. He has started just once since Aug. 24.

• The Phillies activated outfielder Nate Schierholtz from the disabled list. He had been on the DL with a broken right big toe.

• Phillies closer Jonathan Papelbon became the fifth youngest pitcher in baseball history to record 250 saves (31 years, 282 days). He trailed only Francisco Rodriguez (28 years, 135 days), Rod Beck (30 years, 56 days), Robb Nen (31 years, 214 days) and Bruce Sutter (31 years, 231 days). Papelbon needed 281 save opportunities to reach 250, which is the second fewest save opportunities before recording 250 saves in history. Joe Nathan reached 250 in 271 save opportunities last season.

• The Phillies recalled left-hander Jake Diekman from Triple-A Lehigh Valley following Saturday's 5-1 win over the Braves. He is expected to be available Sunday.
