Worth noting

• The Phillies made three errors in Wednesday's 12-5 loss to the Twins -- a Freddy Galvis error was later changed to a hit -- and nine in five games. Those nine errors ranked second in baseball. Poor defense gave Phillies manager Charlie Manuel a headache last season.

"They gave me a headache today," Manuel said. "They gave me a real good headache. We can't play like that, if we expect to win. We're going to make mistakes. But at the same time you can't make that many mistakes, and you can't make the same mistakes over and over and over every day. I mean, what the [heck]? We had one clean inning today. We dropped balls and missed balls. All over the field."

• Chase Utley will be in the lineup on Thursday against the Braves at Bright House Field. He did not play Tuesday because of wet field conditions and did not make the trip to Fort Myers on Wednesday.

• Domonic Brown crushed a double to deep right-center field in the fifth inning to score a run. He went 1-for-2 with one RBI, two walks and three runs scored. "Just be consistent," Manuel said. "I'd say so far he's been that."
