Worth noting

• Left-hander Scott Diamond, who had a bone chip removed from his left elbow in December, made his second Minor League start on Saturday. Diamond threw three innings, allowing three runs on five hits, against Triple-A Pawtucket. He's currently on the 15-day disabled list but remains on track to rejoin the rotation on April 12.

• Closer Glen Perkins tossed a scoreless inning against the Rays on Saturday in his first Grapefruit League outing since March 3. Perkins left camp to play for Team USA in the World Baseball Classic and pitched in two Minor League games this week before returning to Grapefruit League action.
