Worth noting

• Right-hander Cole De Vries began his throwing program Saturday, as he played catch for the first time since being placed on the 15-day disabled list with a right forearm strain Sunday. There is still no official timetable for his return, but he was shut down for just eight days after receiving the diagnosis.

• Right-handed reliever Tim Wood, who is on the 15-day disabled list with a right rotator cuff strain, made his second appearance in an extended spring training game Saturday. He pitched two innings and will pitch in back-to-back games early next week before officially going on a rehab assignment.
