Worth noting

• Showalter announced that RHP Steve Johnson threw a side session on Saturday in Sarasota. Johnson will next make a rehab assignment Wednesday for Triple-A Norfolk. The 25-year-old has missed the start of the season with a lat injury. In 2012, Johnson made 12 appearances -- including four starts -- for the Orioles, posting a 4-0 record with a 2.11 ERA.

• Dylan Bundy, the Orioles' top pitching prospect, will throw on Monday for the first time since experiencing right elbow and forearm tightness in late March. Showalter said Bundy, the fourth overall selection in the 2011 First-Year Player Draft, would throw from 75-90 feet.

"He's been pain free and symptom free for a while," Showalter said. "They've just been doing some stuff to make sure it doesn't occur again, hopefully."

The O's manager expects Bundy back on the mound sometime next week.
