Worth noting

• Peguero made his first career start Sunday, playing left field. He made his season debut Saturday as a result of Pagan's fifth-inning injury. Peguero, 24, went 1-for-2 with a double, stolen base and a run. He was recalled Friday from Triple-A Fresno (.415 batting average in 16 games), taking the spot of catcher Hector Sanchez.

"He had a good spring and played well in Fresno," Bochy said. "He's just getting better and better. He's got a lot of talent. He can run, throw, hit for power. He's going to be a real nice player."

• Saturday marked the first time since 1987 that the Dodgers scored eight runs against the Giants and lost.
