Worth noting

• Lefty Franklin Morales, who has had a hard time getting healthy this season, will make another attempt on Tuesday when he pitches a two-inning stint for Double-A Portland. Morales will restart his 30-day rehab clock after being shut down a couple of weeks ago by a left pec injury. He has yet to pitch for Boston this season.

• With left-hander Scott Diamond making the start for the Twins on Tuesday, manager John Farrell inserted Jonny Gomes and David Ross into his starting lineup, while Daniel Nava and Jarrod Saltalamacchia got the night off.

• The Red Sox will celebrate "Women and Baseball" throughout the month of May, including Mother's Day, when "Moms Run the Bases," together with their children. The club will also shine the spotlight on women who work in the game, who play the game, and who, as fans, simply love the game.

• On Mother's Day Weekend this Saturday and Sunday, Fenway Park Tours will be free for women. The tours will highlight the contributions of women in Red Sox history.
