• Veteran reliever Josh Kinney, on the 60-day disabled list with a rib injury, has rejoined the Mariners and threw a bullpen session Tuesday. He'll throw another bullpen session on Thursday and then a simulated game Saturday before going out on a Minor League rehab assignment. Kinney was eligible to come off the DL on May 30.

• Kendrys Morales was tied with Oakland's Josh Donaldson for the most game-winning RBIs in the American League with eight going into Wednesday's games. Morales' .400 average (20-for-50) with runners in scoring position ranked fourth in the AL.
