Worth noting

• A day after exiting his Class A start prematurely due to a shoulder strain, Cardinals pitching prospect Tyrell Jenkins received encouraging news during a follow-up doctor visit. According to farm director John Vuch, the doctor found nothing of significance during the examination. It is not yet known whether Jenkins, ranked No. 5 among the team's top prospects, will miss his next start.

• Three members of the Class A Peoria Chiefs were recently selected to participate in the Midwest League All-Star Game. Infielders Breyvic Valera and Jacob Wilson were named as reserves on the Western Division roster. Jenkins was one of 15 pitchers selected for inclusion on the roster. The All-Star Game will be played in Dayton, Ohio, on June 18.

• The Cardinals have launched a new website for Cardinals Authentics (cardinals.com/authentics) where fans can custom order engraved Louisville Slugger bats, as well as other personalized gifts and special collectibles.
