• Double-A Frisco outfielder Teodoro Martinez was selected as a replacement to the Texas League All-Star Game. It will be his second Texas All-Star appearance and his third time on an All-Star roster. Martinez is one of eight Double-A Frisco players on the South Division squad.

Martinez also won the Rangers' Minor League Player of the Month in May. The Rangers also named High-A Myrtle Beach right-hander Alec Asher Pitcher of the Month.

• High-A Hickory third baseman Joey Gallo leads the Minor Leagues with 21 home runs entering Friday. He is batting 16-of-37 with seven home runs, 10 RBIs and five doubles in his last nine games.
