Worth noting

• Shortstop Everth Cabrera, who was activated off the disabled list to start Friday's game, "came out it fine," according to Black. Cabrera, who missed 17 games with a strained left hamstring, was 0-for-5 but completed his normal work after the game and felt good on Saturday.

• Second baseman Jedd Gyorko missed his 25th straight game with a right groin strain on Saturday but continued to make progress toward a return. The rookie ran on the field again before Saturday's game after feeling no ill effects from doing so on Friday.

"He feels as though he's up to 85-90 percent as far as his running," Black said. "So again, he's feeling very confident about playing, hopefully in a Minor League game in the middle of [next] week."
