Worth noting

• Pitching coach Dave Righetti returned to the club Saturday after missing the past few days following surgery on his left elbow. In his absence, bullpen coach Mark Gardner served as pitching coach.

• George Kontos pitched in 44 games as a member of the World Series champions last year but might be unable to visit the White House with the club Monday because he is currently with Triple-A Fresno. Bochy said bringing him to Washington, D.C., is a possibility and has been talked about.

• Entering Saturday, the Giants had hit just three home runs in their last 22 games at AT&T Park and had only 30 at home this season. The total, which ranked 29th in baseball, was, however, just one short of tying their total for all of 2012 at AT&T Park.
