Worth noting
• What a difference a year makes. The Orioles posted a 29-9 record in one-run games last year. They haven't done so well this season, going just 14-23. In fact, they've dropped seven straight one-run contests.
• Chris Davis has hit 21 of his 46 home runs versus the American League East. According to STATS, that's more than any other player versus the division he plays in -- ahead of Edwin Encarnacion and Evan Longoria (both with 19).
• The Orioles entered Sunday with a 20-12 record versus the American League West. That's the fifth-best record they've had against that division. The best came in 1997 when the Orioles posted a 32-12 record.
• Nick Markakis' third-inning double was his first extra-base hit since July 19 at Texas, a span of 125 at-bats.
