Worth noting

• What a difference a year makes. The Orioles posted a 29-9 record in one-run games last year. They haven't done so well this season, going just 14-23. In fact, they've dropped seven straight one-run contests.

Chris Davis has hit 21 of his 46 home runs versus the American League East. According to STATS, that's more than any other player versus the division he plays in -- ahead of Edwin Encarnacion and Evan Longoria (both with 19).

• The Orioles entered Sunday with a 20-12 record versus the American League West. That's the fifth-best record they've had against that division. The best came in 1997 when the Orioles posted a 32-12 record.

Nick Markakis' third-inning double was his first extra-base hit since July 19 at Texas, a span of 125 at-bats.
