• Angels first-base prospect C.J. Cron completed a standout Arizona Fall League this weekend, posting a .413/.467/.700 slash line with five homers and 20 RBIs in 20 games. It was an uplifting sign from Cron, who struggled to hit for power while coming off right shoulder surgery in his first season of Double-A in 2013.

• Second baseman Taylor Lindsey (.225/.270/.363 in 19 games), outfielder Zach Borenstein (.136/.321/.227 in 14 games), catcher Jett Bandy (.258/.258/.419 in eight games), lefty Michael Roth (3.43 ERA in 21 innings), and righties Mike Morin (2.03 ERA in 13 1/3 innings), Cam Bedrosian (2.89 ERA in 9 1/3 innings) and R.J. Alvarez (5.40 ERA in 10 innings) also suited up for the Mesa Solar Sox in the AFL.

• The Angels agreed to terms on a Minor League contract with catcher Luis Martinez. The 28-year-old spent the 2013 season in the Orioles' Minor League system, posting a .257/.319/.346 slash line in 62 games, and appeared in a combined 32 Major League games with the Padres and Rangers from 2011-12.
