Worth noting

• Infielder Jurickson Profar, who has been limited by tendinitis in his right shoulder, has resumed a throwing program but will still be limited to designated-hitter duty during the first week or so of Cactus League games.

•: Pitchers Shawn Tolleson (sore shoulder) and Miles Mikolas (sore elbow) remain day-to-day and will have their status re-evaluated by Dr. Keith Meister this weekend.

Matt Harrison, after being shut down for 10 days while getting his back checked out, is expected to begin a light throwing program on Thursday.

Tanner Scheppers is scheduled to throw live batting practice on Thursday, and Nick Tepesch is expected to do so on Friday. Both have been limited lately by back stiffness.

• Reliever Rafael Perez, who has been limited by a strained left hamstring, has begun to play catch again.

• The Rangers announced Wednesday that 12 players have agreed to terms on one-year contracts for the 2014 season: pitchers Pedro Figueroa, Michael Kirkman, Miles Mikolas, Joseph Ortiz (60-day DL), Robbie Ross Jr., Ben Rowen, Tepesch, Tolleson and Matt West, catcher Robinson Chirinos, infielder Profar, and outfielder Alex Castellanos. The club has all players on the Major League roster under contract for 2014.
