• Josh Beckett will throw live batting practice on Monday's off-day at Petco Park in San Diego to continue building toward his first start of 2014. Matt Kemp, who is eligible to come off of the disabled list on April 4, is scheduled to be one of the hitters facing him.

• The Dodgers optioned right-hander Jose Dominguez to the Minor Leagues on Saturday.

• With Clayton Kershaw on the disabled list, the Dodgers anticipate re-opening the season Sunday with eight relievers in their bullpen.

• The Dodgers scheduled an early bus to San Diego on Saturday night that was to leave during the Freeway Series finale and deliver many players to their hotel in plenty of time to get some rest before Sunday night's series opener. Most regulars players were expected to get only one or two at-bats Saturday night before departing on the early bus.
