• Phillies left-hander Cole Hamels pitched well in a rehab start Saturday with Class A Clearwater. He is scheduled to make one more rehab start Thursday. He could rejoin the Phillies' rotation on April 22 in Los Angeles. "He threw great," Amaro said. "It's possible [Thursday is his last rehab start]. We'll see how he feels after that one."

• Tony Gwynn Jr. made his third consecutive start in center field as Ben Revere nurses sore ribs, although the Phillies have liked the way Gwynn has played in Revere's absence.
