Worth noting

• Phillies left-hander Cole Hamels pitched well in a rehab start Saturday with Class A Clearwater. He is scheduled to make one more rehab start Thursday. He could rejoin the Phillies' rotation on April 22 in Los Angeles. "He threw great," Amaro said. "It's possible [Thursday is his last rehab start]. We'll see how he feels after that one."

Tony Gwynn Jr. made his third consecutive start in center field as Ben Revere nurses sore ribs, although the Phillies have liked the way Gwynn has played in Revere's absence. "Tender," Amaro said of Revere's ribs. "But I think he's OK to play. Tony is playing good. [Sandberg] is playing the hot hand, I guess."
