Worth noting

• Outfielder A.J. Pollock was out of the lineup for the second straight day after suffering from tightness in his neck Sunday in Los Angeles.

Pollock had some work done on the neck by a chiropractor Monday and said it was feeling somewhat better. D-backs manager Kirk Gibson said he thought Pollock would be able to pinch-hit Tuesday if needed.

• Left fielder Mark Trumbo was out of the lineup Tuesday due to a sore left foot.

Gibson said the foot became sore during Monday's game.

"I just thought it was smart to not push it today," Gibson said. "It's sore. We're going to try to resolve it before it gets into something that we can't resolve."

• Top prospect Archie Bradley took the loss Monday for Triple-A Reno. The right-hander allowed three runs in four innings of work.
