Worth noting

Zack Greinke pitched three innings before Monday's three-hour, 17-minute rain delay ended his night, snapping a streak of 18 straight starts in which the right-hander went five or more innings and allowed two or fewer runs. It was the longest such streak in the Major Leagues since 1914.

• Catcher A.J. Ellis ran the bases again and feels like he'll be out playing again by the end of week somewhere. The team will decide where Ellis heads to as he's recovering from surgery on his left knee on April 8. "He's running really good. He's feeling good," Dodgers manager Don Mattingly said.

Dee Gordon's been on a roll lately. He was on a four-game hitting streak during which he's 10-for-21, giving the Dodgers more offensive help and lifting his average to .353 heading into the Washington series.

• The Dodgers have gotten at least 10 hits in five of the last eight games. In the last 12 games, they've got a .283 average with 26 doubles, four triples and 12 homers. So far this season, the Dodgers sit third in the Major Leagues with 105 extra-base hits.
