Worth noting
• Mike Olt is the first rookie to hit nine home runs for the Cubs before June 1 since Geovany Soto had nine before June 1, 2008. Olt is only the 11th Cubs rookie since 1933 to have nine homers before the All-Star break. Olt's nine homers are six more than any other National League rookie and his 24 RBIs are double the next highest count by a National League rookie.
• Junior Lake didn't get a hit Saturday night, ending his hitting streak at nine games, which equals the longest of his career and is the longest by a Cub this season. But infielder Luis Valbuena homered Saturday night to extend his hitting streak to eight games, which matches the longest streak of his career. Valbuena is 13-for-30 during his streak.
