Worth noting

• Injured D-backs outfielder Mark Trumbo has moved from the rookie Arizona League to Triple-A Reno as he continues his rehabilitation from a stress fracture in his left foot.

D-backs manager Kirk Gibson said Trumbo could return to the active roster right after the All-Star break.

• Injured shortstop Chris Owings still has some discomfort in his left (non-throwing) shoulder, so he has not begun swinging a bat.

Owings has done some throwing, but there is no timetable for his return.

• Gibson said that GM Kevin Towers' surgery Monday to repair his vocal cords went well.

"I just texted with his wife," Gibson said. "She said things went really good. He got to say 300 words today and he used them up in about two minutes."
