Worth noting

• Catcher Geovany Soto, on the disabled list with a strained right groin muscle, is 2-for-5 in two games at Triple-A Round Rock since starting his medical rehabilitation assignment. He could be activated on Friday when the Rangers open a three-game series with the Astros in Houston.

• Former Rangers pitcher Scott Feldman started for the Astros on Sunday. He'll likely start against the Rangers on Saturday in Houston, possibly against Yu Darvish. If so, it will be the second time they have faced each other. Darvish and Feldman waged a terrific pitching duel on April 11 in Arlington with the Rangers winning, 1-0, in 12 innings.

• At this point, the Astros rotation for that series lines up as Brett Oberholtzer, Feldman and Dallas Keuchel.

Nick Tepesch, who was skipped in his last start because of a sore left knee, threw a bullpen on Sunday. The Rangers will see how he recovers before determining if he will pitch on Wednesday against the White Sox. If not, the Rangers will go with Jerome Williams.
