Worth noting

• Blue Jays No. 3 prospect Dalton Pompey collected a pair of singles in his second game with Triple-A Buffalo on Friday night. The speedy outfielder was 2-for-5 in the leadoff role as the Bisons topped Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, 11-7.

Pompey, a native of Mississauga, Ontario, is batting 3-for-9 in two games since being promoted to Buffalo from Double-A New Hampshire. On the season, the 21-year-old has hit .312 with 17 doubles, nine triples, nine homers and 39 stolen bases in 103 games with Class A Advanced Dunedin, New Hampshire and Buffalo.

Pompey's rise through the Blue Jays' farm system has mirrored that of left-hander and top prospect Daniel Norris, who also began the season with Dunedin, but quickly earned promotions and is now on the cusp of a Major League callup.
