TORONTO -- There is another hitting streak to follow when it comes to the Red Sox. Sizzling shortstop Xander Bogaerts has now hit in 20 straight games after drilling a single in Friday night's 7-5 loss to the Blue Jays.
The career-long streak by Bogaerts is the second best in the Major Leagues this season.
Only Red Sox center fielder Jackie Bradley Jr., who had his 29-game streak come to an end on Thursday, has had a better streak this season.

"I'm just trying to go out there and get on base," said Bogaerts. "We have a lot of guys that can drive me in. I'm just trying to do the best I can."
The gifted right-handed hitter has reached safely in 32 of his last 34 games.
Since the start of the 2015 season, Bogaerts leads the Major Leagues with 264 hits.
