Yanks edge Mets in 10th on Starlin's sac fly

NEW YORK -- Once Monday afternoon's non-waiver Trade Deadline chaos settled into quiet, after the Mets acquired from the Reds and the Yankees dealt to Texas, a sold-out crowd piled into Citi Field for what was theoretically still the day's main event.
The New York rivals did not disappoint with an extra-inning Subway Series affair that the Yankees won, 6-5, on 's sacrifice fly in the 10th.

Rey of hope: Called up before the game to fill in for the injured , Reynolds flew through the night from Las Vegas to New York City, unable to sleep due to an uncomfortable aisle seat. "I just go out there and I try to do the best I can," Reynolds said. "I've been fortunate to get some good pitches to hit and I haven't missed them. I don't think there's any special reason why. I just think when I'm up here, I'm comfortable and I get locked in."
