Yankees Honor Mariano Rivera
The New York Yankees on Sunday did a commendable job of honoring Mariano Rivera. The Yankees retired Rivera's number 42, putting the closer in elite company. He then walked to the mound while Metallica performed "Enter Sandman" live at Yankee Stadium. Which was incredible.
The Yankees also presented Rivera with an exact crystal replica of his glove, a $100,000 check to his foundation and a rocking chair made of baseball bats. Congratulations, Mo. You will be missed.
