Teixeira, Ellsbury eye return trip to All-Star Game

NEW YORK -- The Yankees have enjoyed to a strong start to their season, and now the members of their batting order are asking for your help to punch a ticket for the July 14 All-Star Game at Cincinnati's Great American Ballpark.

Designated hitter Alex Rodriguez (14 previous selections), first baseman Mark Teixeira (two previous selections) and Jacoby Ellsbury (one previous selection) are among those hoping to return to the American League clubhouse this summer.

In addition, outfielder Carlos Beltran (eight National League selections) and catcher Brian McCann (seven NL selections) are aiming for their first nod in the Junior Circuit as they each play their second season with the Yankees.

The club is also represented on the ballot by second baseman Stephen Drew, shortstop Didi Gregorius, third baseman Chase Headley and outfielder Brett Gardner, all of whom would celebrate their first All-Star Game selection.

At last year's All-Star Game, the Yankees were represented by pitcher Dellin Betances, shortstop Derek Jeter and pitcher Masahiro Tanaka. Due to injury, Tanaka did not attend the festivities.

Fans can cast their votes for starters at MLB.com and all 30 club sites -- on their computers, tablets and smartphones -- using the 2015 Esurance MLB All-Star Game Ballot until Thursday, July 2, at 11:59 p.m. ET. For the first time, voting is exclusively online, where fans may submit up to 35 ballots.

Following the announcement of the 2015 All-Stars, be sure to return to MLB.com and cast your 2015 Esurance MLB All-Star Game Final Vote for the final player for each league's All-Star roster. On Tuesday, July 14, watch the 2015 All-Star Game live on FOX, and during the game visit MLB.com to submit your choice for the Ted Williams Most Valuable Player Award presented by Chevrolet via the 2015 MLB All-Star Game MVP Vote.
