Chance Adams continues to turn heads since his promotion to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. In the first game of Wednesday's doubleheader against Triple-A Columbus, the right-hander struck out a career-high 12 batters and allowed one hit over six innings in a 6-0 win.
This marked the second time that Adams, who is No. 7 on the Yankees' Top 30 Prospects list, has tossed at least six innings with the RailRiders, and he is now 3-1 with a 1.57 ERA in four starts with the club.

Adams kept hitters off balance with his mid-90s fastball, hard slider and improved curveball. Only one batter reached scoring position.

Adams, who is MLBPipeline's No. 99 overall prospect, was drafted by the Yankees in the fifth round of the 2015 Draft out of Dallas Baptist University. He was promoted to Scranton this season on May 13 after making six starts with Double-A Trenton, where he posted a 1.03 ERA this season. Adams is 23-3 with a 1.96 ERA in his Minor League career
Tyler Wade, the Yankees' No. 11 prospect, and Dustin Fowler, the club's No. 8 prospect, also had great days, backing up Adams with a strong offensive display. Wade belted a solo shot in the first inning and Fowler followed with a two-run home run in the fourth.
