Puig's catch takes everyone's breath away

ATLANTA -- Freddie Freeman led off the bottom of the sixth on Thursday afternoon by hitting a rocket to deep center field. Extra bases appeared to be in Freeman's future as Puig got a late jump on the drive.

However, Puig managed to track the ball in the sunny sky before jumping into the center-field wall, making the catch and denying Freeman the chance to jump-start the Braves' offense as the Dodgers held a four-run lead on their way to a 6-4 victory.

Los Angeles manager Don Mattingly praised Puig's offensive performance on Thursday as the center fielder finished 3-for-4 with an RBI, but when the subject of Puig's web gem came up, the skipper summed it up simply.

"He made a great play in center," Mattingly marveled.
