Yost wants his Royals to beat the heat
ST. LOUIS -- With the temperatures heading into the 90s at Busch Stadium on Saturday morning, manager Ned Yost cautioned starting catcher Brayan Pena and other players to take it easy in pregame practice.

"A day like this, you want them to kind of come out and get their blood going a little bit, take a few swings and get out. It's actually hotter than I anticipated it being. I just wanted them to come out, take a few swings, take a few ground balls and come in," Yost said. "Save their energy for the game."
