Gallardo rejects Rangers' qualifying offer
Right-hander Yovani Gallardo has turned down the one-year, $15.8 million qualifying offer from the Rangers.
Gallardo finished his first year with the Rangers with a 13-11 record and 3.42 ERA.
Over his nine-year career (eight with Milwaukee), Gallardo is 102-75 with a 3.66 ERA.
The Rangers can still negotiate with Gallardo, but they will receive a compensatory pick at the end of the first round of the 2016 Draft if he signs with another team. Compensation picks will be made in reverse order of teams' winning percentage from the 2015 season.
