O's agree with closer Britton, avoid arbitration

One-year deal reportedly worth $6.75 million

The Orioles and left-hander Zach Britton have agreed to a one-year, $6.75 million contract to avoid arbitration.
Britton, 28, posted a 1.92 ERA with 36 saves in 58 appearances in his second season as Baltimore's closer. He is 25-20 with a 3.70 ERA and 73 saves in 183 games (46 starts) in five Major League seasons, all with the Orioles.
All of Baltimore's arbitration-eligible players are under contract following Britton's signing.
