Britton still on track to return before break

June 25th, 2017

ST. PETERSBURG -- Orioles closer Zach Britton continues to progress back from a left forearm strain with the goal for him to return to the team before the All-Star break.
Britton will pitch on Monday and Thursday at Double-A Bowie and then for Class A Frederick on Friday. He'll head to Triple-A Norfolk after that.
"Everything is designed to have him join us on the fifth," Orioles manager Buck Showalter said of Britton, who was placed on the disabled list for a second time retroactive to May 5. He's currently on the 60-day DL, so July 5 would be his first day eligible.
