Britton feels good day after playing catch

Left-hander plans to go on rehab assignment Friday

BALTIMORE -- Zach Britton felt good on Tuesday -- a day after playing catch -- and the plan is for him to go out on a rehab assignment on Friday.
Britton, who will throw a bullpen session on Wednesday, is rehabbing from a left forearm injury and is eligible to come off the 10-day disabled list midweek.
The O's could also be joined by outfielder Joey Rickard, who played for Class-A Delmarva on Monday night and will get in at least one more game. Rickard, who has been dealing with a finger injury, could join the Major League club, though finding a spot will be interesting. He has a Minor League option remaining but manager Buck Showalter would prefer to add Rickard to bolster the bench, meaning the Orioles could get creative in finding room elsewhere.
