Davies to represent O's at Futures Game

Organization's No. 4 prospect joins U.S. Team's roster for July 12 showcase

BOSTON -- Orioles right-handed pitching prospect Zach Davies has been named to the United States Team's roster for this year's SiriusXM All-Star Futures Game.

The 17th annual SiriusXM All-Star Futures Game takes place at 3 p.m. ET on July 12, and it can be seen live on MLB Network and MLB.com, with Matt Vasgersian, Dan Plesac, Heidi Watney and Jonathan Mayo on the call. In addition, SiriusXM Radio will broadcast play-by-play coverage of the event live on MLB Network Radio (XM channel 89; Sirius channel 209). MLB.com will also provide complete coverage before, during and after the game. Fans can stay updated by following @FuturesGame on Twitter and can send/receive tweets to/from the U.S. and World dugouts during the game by tagging tweets with the hashtags #USDugout and #WorldDugout.

2015 SiriusXM All-Star Futures Game rosters

The 22-year-old Davies -- Baltimore's No. 4 prospect, according to MLB.com -- is currently at the Orioles' Triple-A affiliate in Norfolk. He has gone 3-4 with a 2.94 ERA in 14 games (13 starts) for the Tides this season.

Davies is the youngest player on the Tides and the seventh-youngest player currently in the International League. His ERA ranks fourth among Orioles Minor Leaguers and is eighth best in the International League. He has allowed three runs or fewer in 12 of his 14 appearances this year.

The Futures Game rosters feature 13 former first-round Draft picks (all U.S.), four players picked in Compensation Round A (3 for U.S.; 1 for World) and two second-round picks (both U.S.). Among the 13 first-round picks, six were selected in the 2014 Draft, three are from the '13 Draft, two are from the '12 Draft and two are out of the '11 Draft.
