SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- Zack Greinke impressed again in his second Cactus League start in the D-backs' 8-4 win over the Padres on Wednesday at Salt River Fields, and prospect Brandon Drury smacked his second home run of the spring.
The D-backs scored five runs in the fifth inning and then held off a late Padres rally.
Greinke allowed four hits, three of which were ground balls and the other a soft liner to right, in his three innings. After his throwing 38 pitches, 24 for strikes, he threw some more in the bullpen.

Padres starter Colin Rea continued his solid spring as he worked three scoreless innings allowing a pair of hits while striking out one and walking one.
Rea, who is in competition for one of the final two spots in the rotation, has now thrown five innings this spring without allowing a run.
He has added 23 pounds to his frame since the end of last season, the results of a strength-training program, and has seen some jump in velocity from where he was a year ago. He was clocked as high as 97 mph Wednesday.
"I definitely feel stronger," Rea said. "It's more of a confidence thing, just letting it [fastball] go, that's the biggest thing. I felt like I had a good angle to my fastball today."
The Padres grabbed a 1-0 lead in the fourth when Melvin Upton Jr. doubled against Tyler Wagner, stole third and came home to score on Alexei Ramirez's single through the hole at third.
Wagner, who is trying to win the No. 5 spot in the Arizona rotation, went three innings, giving up one run on three hits, with one strikeout and one walk.
Drury started the D-backs' scoring in the fifth inning, hitting a line-drive homer to right off Johnny Hellweg, scoring Chris Herrmann, who had led off the inning with a single.
The D-backs added two more runs in the sixth on an RBI single by Joaquin Arias and an RBI triple from Evan Marzilli.
The Padres fought back in the 8th with three runs. Brett Wallace and Travis Jankowski hit RBI singles and Wallace scored when Jose Rondon grounded into a double play.
Zach Borenstein's RBI single in the 8th added an insurance run for Arizona.
Padres up next: The Padres are on the road again Thursday, as they head to Goodyear Ballpark to face the Indians at 12:05 p.m. PT. Tyson Ross, the team's Opening Day starter, takes the mound for his second Cactus League outing. He tossed two scoreless innings against the Rockies on March 5. He'll likely go three innings this time out.
D-backs up next: The D-backs take to the road Thursday to face the Angels at Tempe Diablo Stadium at 1:05 p.m. MST. Right-hander Shelby Miller, who was acquired from Atlanta during the offseason, will get the start for Arizona, his second this spring. Yoan Lopez, who was impressive in his last outing, is scheduled to follow Miller.
