Greinke settling in after throwing 2nd BP

February 27th, 2016

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- D-backs right-hander Zack Greinke threw his second session of live batting practice Saturday.
"It was good," Greinke said. "Threw the ball where I wanted for the most part. Thrown to [catcher] Welington [Castillo] a couple of times and it's gone pretty smooth. Good for batting practice."

Greinke is still going through the process of learning his new teammates but said that so far the transition from the Dodgers has been seamless.
"It seems like a really close team," Greinke said. "I haven't been here too long, but it seems as close as any team. Milwaukee was really close when I was there, so that's a big positive for this organization."
"B" games
D-backs manager Chip Hale said the team will look to schedule a number of "B" games this spring as a way to find enough innings for all the pitchers they have in camp.
Some teams try to keep their starting pitchers away from facing teams within their division during Spring Training since they will likely have to face them a lot during the regular season.
Whether the D-backs do that with Greinke remains to be seen. Hale said he will talk to Greinke to see what he thinks about the idea.
