Zim to host 'A Night at the Park' on Thursday

SAN DIEGO -- Hosted by Nationals third baseman Ryan Zimmerman and the ziMS Foundation, the fourth annual "A Night at the Park" will be held Thursday starting at 6 p.m., at Nationals Park and will feature a special performance from alt-rock group Third Eye Blind.

Nationals Park will be transformed into an intimate concert hall for 2,000 guests, as a custom stage is built on the outside concourse of the Presidents' Club, with attendees sitting in the Diamond Club seats. The evening will also include silent and live auctions.

The ziMS Foundation is dedicated to the treatment and ultimate cure of multiple sclerosis by funding comprehensive support and educational programs. MS is a disease close to Ryan's heart. In 1995, his mother Cheryl was diagnosed with MS, a chronic and unpredictable disease that affects the central nervous system.

The ziMS Foundation has donated more than $1 million to MS support programs and research.
