The Orioles have added Chris Correnti to the Major League athletic training staff as assistant athletic trainer, the team announced on Tuesday.
Correnti has worked with the organization as a performance consultant from the club's training complex in Sarasota, Fla., since 2012.
The Illinois State University graduate began his career in professional baseball with the Astros in 1990 before joining the Red Sox in 1994, where he stayed until 2005. From 2001-05, he served as assistant athletic trainer and rehabilitation coordinator for the Red Sox, then was a rehabilitation specialist for the Mets from 2007-10.
