SARASOTA, Fla. -- , who was scratched from Sunday's start against the Red Sox, said Saturday he's feeling better and is optimistic he will be able to make his bullpen session on Tuesday.
"I felt something on my knees, like something pulling on the knees," Castro said through translator Ramon Alarcon, adding that the issue also caused some lower back soreness that has since subsided.

Given how early in Spring Training it is, the Orioles want to be cautious with Castro, who is being looked at as a starter this spring. Should he not crack the rotation, the righty certainly stated his case as a reliever last year. Castro went 3-3 with a 3.53 ERA in 39 games, including one start.
Vielma reports to camp
Infielder reported to camp on Saturday after passport issues prevented the Venezuelan native from arriving on time.
"It's definitely very frustrating because all I could think about was the opportunity that was presented to me," Vielma said through translator Alarcon. "Some players may be ahead of me, so I really wanted to be here, to be here on time, to be here early, but now that I'm here, I just want to go out there and compete and make a good contribution to the team."

Vielma, who bounced around from team to team this winter, said he remained calm this offseason and is ready to show Baltimore what he can do. He's expected to compete for the club's utility role this spring.
"I know I reported late, so they definitely have an advantage in that regard," he said. "I still feel confident that I can go out there and compete."
