O's agree to terms with first-round pick Harvey

No. 22 overall selection in 2013 Draft is son of former All-Star closer

The Orioles have agreed to terms with first-round pick Hunter Harvey, pending a physical. The deal is for the suggested slot bonus amount of $1,947,600, according to multiple reports.

Harvey, the 22nd overall pick in this year's Draft, was also ranked the No. 22 prospect by MLB.com entering the Draft. The right-hander out of Bandys High School (N.C.) is the son of former All-Star closer Bryan Harvey.

The 18-year-old high school product throws an above-average fastball that currently reaches 94 mph, and Harvey has the chance to pick up even more velocity as his professional career progresses. He complements his heater with a curveball and changeup.
