The Orioles and left-hander Brian Matusz have agreed to one-year deal to avoid arbitration.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Matusz, who turns 29 next week, posted a 2.94 ERA and a career-high 10.29 strikeouts per nine innings in 58 relief appearances last season. He has a 4.76 ERA and 459 strikeouts in 272 career games (68 starts), all with Baltimore.
